1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you create or use your account:
Name & Username
Your display name and unique username used publicly on the platform.
Phone Number
Required for account creation, OTP verification, and mobile payments (EcoCash, InnBucks).
Email Address
Optional at signup. Used for transactional notifications if provided.
National ID Photo
Hustlers only. Collected for identity verification. Stored securely and not shared publicly.
Profile Photo
Optional. Displayed publicly on your profile and job listings.
City & Area
Used to match you with local jobs and display your location to other users.
Usage Data
Pages visited, actions taken, and device/browser information collected automatically for platform improvement.
Payment Data
Transaction amounts and references. We do not store card numbers — payments are processed by PayNow Zimbabwe.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To verify your identity and issue the Verified badge to Hustlers
- To process payments securely through PayNow Zimbabwe escrow
- To send transactional emails (job alerts, payment confirmations, dispute updates)
- To match clients with Hustlers based on location and skills
- To investigate disputes and enforce our Terms & Conditions
- To improve the platform through aggregated usage analytics
- To comply with legal obligations under Zimbabwean law
3. Who We Share Data With
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We share limited data only with:
- PayNow Zimbabwe — to process payments. Your email and transaction amount are shared.
- Resend — our email delivery provider. Your email address is shared only when sending you a notification.
- Law enforcement — if required by court order or Zimbabwean law.
- Other users — your public profile data (username, photo, city, skills, rating) is visible to all users of the platform.
4. Data Retention
- Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- Transaction and job records are retained for a minimum of 7 years for financial compliance.
- Verification documents (National ID photos) are retained for the lifetime of the account and up to 2 years after deletion.
- After account deletion, public profile information is anonymised rather than fully removed to preserve job history integrity.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — update inaccurate information via your profile settings
- Deletion — request account deletion by contacting support (subject to retention requirements above)
- Portability — request an export of your data in a machine-readable format

6. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure — you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
7. Cookies & Tracking
We use session cookies to keep you logged in and prevent fraud. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Analytics data is collected in aggregate and is not tied to individual identities.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
